   Subsellium, lij, n. g. Seates or benches whereon men sate in the Theater to beholde, or whereon Iudges sate in Courtes, a iudgement place: a place where the accused persons, the accusers, and the witnesses did sit: somtime Iudges Subselli a templorum, Liv. Seates or pewes for people to sit on.
