   Insignia, orum, n. g. Signes, markes, or tokens of honour, whereby euerie estate or great authoritie is knowne: as robes, maces, swordes borne vpright, cappes of maintenance, staues tipped with silver, crownes of laurell: also badges or armes of gentlemen: pageants: braue and gallant deckings.
